Sylvester Stallone has settled a $1.4 million lawsuit against real estate contractor Mohamed Hadid over a recent home renovation the "Rocky" star claimed was "riddled with defects."

In the suit, which was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court last April, Stallone claimed to have been victimized by Hadid who he described as an "incompetent con man."

The details of the settlement were not made public, however, TMZ reported Stallone emerged from the talks "smiling."

Hadid, who Stallone hired after getting a referral from "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Vanderpump, was expected to reconstruct an island in his kitchen as well as install a fire pit and air conditioning system on his Los Angeles mansion in 2009.

According to Stallone's suit, he was left with "inexpensive, damaged deteriorating and uneven cabinetry and malfunctioning appliances."

The suit further claims that Hadid charged Stallone more than $10,000 for a "high quality wooden kitchen island" only to allegedly install a "cheap wood veneer/plywood product that is defective and virtually worthless," TMZ reported.

"Far from the top quality job promised, Hadid's work was riddled with defects, abysmal quality and poor workmanship," Stallone claims in the suit, calling Hadid an "unscrupulous, unlicensed predator."

Stallone said "if you want to hire an incompetent con man to do construction, then Mohamed Hadid is your man," TMZ reported.

Martin Singer, a famed celebrity attorney, filed the suit for Stallone. Singer has represented the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlie Sheen, and Quentin Tarantino.

Stallone described Singer as "ferocious and fearless," adding, "if you rattle his cage, you’re in for a fight," according to the New York Times.

Palestinian-born Mohamed Hadid, who has an estimated net worth of $100 million, has yet to release a statement on the lawsuit.

In addition to being known for developing millionaire mansions and Ritz Carlton hotels across the globe, Hadid is connected with Hollywood's elites and has been featured on such shows as Bravo's "Shahs of Sunset," and "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
