For the first time in seven years, Sherri Shepherd’s view of "The View" is from her own living room.

The ex-panelist Shepherd told Access Hollywood that being on the sidelines for Season No. 18 of "The View" has been an adjustment. Shepherd gave the revamped cast a “B” grade for their performance so far, saying they need to “work out” a few things.

During an interview in New York City, Shepherd admitted she watches the show every day and still yells at the TV when topics turn testy even though she no longer has a dog in the fight. Shepherd thinks the new team will eventually find their rhythm together. “They’ve got to jive,” she said.

Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez replaced Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy when the season debuted Sept. 15, rounding out a team comprised of moderator Whoopi Goldberg and returning veteran Rosie O’Donnell. Longtime "View" host Barbara Walters announced her retirement last year.

Shepherd made headlines when she broke down in tears on live TV when talking about leaving "The View." She said she held off on announcing her departure so it wouldn’t detract from Barbara Walters’ retirement celebration. Shepherd then emotionally thanked Walters and producer Bill Geddie for giving her a break and proceeded to offer love and thanks to Jenny McCarthy and Whoopi Goldberg.

Shepherd isn’t sitting around eating bonbons and playing armchair quarterback. She’s currently starring as the Wicked Stepmother in "Cinderella" on Broadway.
