"Shark Tank" judge Lori Greiner ripped a contestant recently, accusing him of "chauvinism" for refusing to  look at her and only addressing the males sharks.

The contestant was pitching a product filled with vitamins to strengthen the immune system. Greiner was highly interested in the product but felt ignored.

The ordeal escalated when Sarath Malepati, the contestant, allegedly avoided looking at Greiner completely while speaking to the judges about his product. The 49-year-old judge called Malepati out for appearing not to take an interest in what she had to say to him.

"I am offended, I feel like you don't respect me as a female sitting here," Greiner said, according to Fox News

Greiner said she believed in natural products and was interested in what Malepati had to offer. She mentioned taking zinc to boost her own immune system but grew frustrated when he appeared to be "ignoring" what she had to say.

"That's odd to me. I'm talking to you and you're looking over at [fellow judge] Mark [Cuban’ and I'm telling you that I'm into all of this," she said.

Another judge tried to interject and Greiner said she was "just going to finish."

Addressing Malepati directly, she pointed out that she was a "believer" in his product but could not tolerate that he would not even look at her when she spoke to him.

Malepati attempted to apologize but Greiner brushed it off.

"I do know that when you came out here, you were looking at everybody else, not really me," Greiner continued. "I just sense some chauvinism here."

After the show Malepati said Greiner’s comments about being a chauvinist took him by surprise.

"That’s not who I am as a human being and I’m sorry that she felt that way," he said.

Greiner meanwhile took to social media to vent.

"First he didn’t look at me and then he ignored me… twice. That’s why I said something. RT if this has happened to you," she said in one tweet.

In a separate Twitter post, Greiner admitted that maybe Malepati "didn't mean it" and was thrown off by her fellow judges, but added that she was a "firm believer in speaking up, in a respectful way, when something is not right."

She also thanked her followers for supporting her.

"I hope this helps inspire women to stick up for themselves," she wrote.
