Shannon Richardson (also known as Shannon Guess), the Texas actress who was arrested June 7 in connection with the ricin letters sent to Obama, was charged Friday with two counts of mailing a threatening communication and one count of making a threat against the president of the United States.
CBS News reports Richardson, who appeared in “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Walking Dead,” is charged with sending letters containing ricin to President Obama, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

The letters, which said, “What’s in this letter is nothing compared to what I’ve got planned for you,” were written in an
attempt to frame Richardson’s husband for the crime, the indictment said, according to NBC News.
Richardson called the FBI to report the letters, but when they investigated, they determined that she, not her husband, had sent them, NBC reported.
Though Richard’s husband is divorcing her, he forgives her for what she did.
"She has done this to herself. She has destroyed my reputation and my life but there's a way up from this and if I sit here and focus on anger, I can't focus on getting on with my life,"
Nathanial Richardson told the New York Daily News.
