A Seattle-area TSA worker was arrested Tuesday after he was accused of "upskirt" voyeurism by authorities who said they witnessed him using his phone camera inappropriately in the baggage claim area.

KOMO-TV reported that the 29-year-old Transportation Security Administration agent from Tukwila, Washington, was arrested for voyeurism and booked into the Regional Justice Center in Kent with bail set at $7,500.

The man had been under surveillance at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport after authorities received information that he was taking photos under women's dresses.

"TSA does not tolerate illegal, unethical or immoral conduct. When such conduct is alleged, TSA investigates it thoroughly," the TSA said in a statement. "When appropriate, TSA requests that it be investigated by a law enforcement authority. When an investigation finds that misconduct has occurred, the appropriate action is taken."

The Seattle Times wrote that in the course of the suspect being monitored by a TSA special agent and the Port of Seattle Police, they noticed he left his station on a break late Tuesday morning. According to a probable cause statement, noted The Times, the special agent charged that the suspect allegedly "hurriedly walked over to the baggage claim escalator and positioned himself behind a woman" where he turned his cellphone recorder on.

Along with being arrested, the man was removed from screening duties and placed on indefinite suspension without pay.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer wrote that the suspect, who was not identified, waived his right to appear to a preliminary court hearing Thursday, where the judge set his bond.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was the 13th busiest airport in the country in 2014, according to the airport's statistics. In 2015, 42.3 million passengers passed through the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, a 12.9 percent increase from 2014.
