Jay-Z, who is in charge of fledgling Roc Nation Sports, pokes fun at Scott Boras, one of the top baseball agents in history, on the rapper's newly released album "Magna Carta Holy Grail.”

Jay-Z crows about taking New York Yankee Robinson Cano from Boras in his song "Crown."

"Scott Boras, you over baby. Robinson Cano, you coming with me," he raps in the song.

Yahoo Sports columnist Tim Brown said Boras took a passive response to the line on Twitter.

"My music taste? I love jazz. I'm a huge Bernie Williams fan," he tweeted.

Bernie Williams is a former New York Yankee All-Star and Boras client who is now a Latin Grammy-nominated jazz musician.

"Boras has negotiated about $5 billion in player contracts," Brown wrote. "Jay-Z, just getting started, has not yet negotiated a contract. Roc Nation's sports client list appears to be five deep: Cano, NBA player Kevin Durant, NFL rookie quarterback Geno Smith, NFL wide receiver Victor Cruz and women's basketball player Skylar Diggins."

While Boras has lost a few big-name players in recent years, such as Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez, it came after Boras rounded up fat deals for them. In Teixeira's case, Boras negotiated a $180 million deal and got Rodriguez a $275 million deal.

"After more than three decades in the business, is he 'over?'" Brown wrote. "His current client list includes Bryce Harper, Stephen Strasburg, Matt Harvey, Prince Fielder, Adrian Beltre, Carlos Gonzalez, Gerrit Cole and dozens of others."

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is the husband of Grammy-winning singer Beyonce Knowles. Called "one of greatest rappers of all time" by Rolling Stone magazine, he has also produced some of the genre's biggest artists, like Kanye West. Jay-Z served as president of Def Jam Records in 2005.

The rapper announced he was launching Roc Nation Sports in an attempt to get into representing professional athletes in April; Cano and Durant are two of his biggest clients.
