Scarlett Johansson is facing criticism for her speech attacking James Franco on Saturday at the Women’s March in Los Angeles after she previously defended filmmaker Woody Allen when he was accused of sexually abusing his daughter.

On Saturday, Johansson gave a speech in which she accused Franco of supporting the Time’s Up movement publicly while “privately preying on people who have no power.”

“I want my pin back, by the way,” she added.

While the actress didn’t mention Franco by name in the speech, she has since confirmed that she was referring to him, People reported.

Several women including actress Violet Paley have leveled accusations against Franco after seeing him wearing the pin.

Franco denied all the allegations through an attorney and in an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

Saying he prided himself on taking responsibility for his actions, Franco told Colbert, “The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate. But I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long. So I don’t want to shut them down in any way.”

Johansson defended Allen in 2014 after appearing in several of his movies, telling The Guardian that allegations against him were “all guesswork” a month after Allen’s estranged daughter Dylan Farrow accused him in a detailed letter of sexually abusing her when she was 7.

Many Twitter commenters felt Johannson was being hypocritical for her comments about Franco in light of the previous actions defending Allen.
