J.J. Watt, the Houston Texan's All-Pro defensive lineman, sparked a mini "Saved By the Bell" reunion Sunday when he posted a photo on Twitter of himself and Mario Lopez, one of the show's stars, prompting a response from another Bayside alum.
Lopez, who played A.C. Slater, is seen posing with Watt at NRG Stadium before the Texans beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Afterwards, Watt posted the photo on Twitter and Instagram, calling out actress Tiffani Thiessen, who played Kelly Kapowski, in his caption.
"The actor in the '90s sitcom is also the son-in-law of former Texan linebacker
Kailee Wong," USA Today reported. "Naturally, J.J. Watt wanted to know where the rest of the cast was. Mainly Kelly Kapowski, another member (and head cheerleader) of the fictional-yet-very-real-to-us student body of Bayside High."
Lucky for Watt, Thiessen soon responded on Instagram with selfie of her holding a Men's Fitness magazine with a bare-chested Watt on the cover.
"I heard you were looking for me," Thiessen wrote in the Instagram photo caption. "I'm in L.A. catching up on my reading. Btw, good game today."
Thiessen's response left Watt, who is normally hunting down quarterbacks and running backs on Sundays, almost giddy on Twitter.
TMZ reported, though, that Thiessen is hardly the only woman cozying up to the 26-year-old defensive lineman these days. Instagram model Lindsey Pelas called out Watt on the celebrity outlet last month.
"Sacks really do come easy for J.J. Watt . . . 'cause the NFL superstar is getting straight up jocked by one of the hottest models on Instagram," TMZ wrote. "The model calling out Watt is Lindsey Pelas — who's already racked up more than 2 million followers on Instagram . . . and is basically the 'it girl' on social media right now.
"So, when we saw her at [Los Angeles International Airport] Wednesday, we asked if there was a man in her life — and that's when she invited the Houston Texans star to fill that gap."
