Sam Smith's much-awaited theme song for the upcoming James Bond movie "Spectre" is being met with mixed reviews online,
although Rolling Stone called the tune "elegant."
"Writing's on the Wall" offers an excellent "showcase for Smith's gorgeous falsetto," the magazine said.
"Smith delivers a grand accomplishment by entertaining the romantic danger of the Bond character while staying true to his hallmark simplicity and elegance," RS reported. "His subtle orchestral cheer team is present, but augments his typical heartbroken persona with a confidence rising up to the level of the iconic secret agent."
However, that positive opinion didn't seem to resonate with many online. Some liked it, though, including the most famous Bond, Sir Roger Moore:
