Monday, 25 November 2019 10:55 AM

Newsmax TV has named Sam R. Moser as Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President of National Sales for its new cable news channel.

Moser, a former Fox News advertising sales executive, will spearhead national and direct-to-consumer advertising efforts for Newsmax TV, the country's fastest-growing cable news channel.

He is a seasoned veteran of cable news and entertainment networks, having spent more than 30 years at companies such as Fox, MTV, the Comedy Channel, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, and the Game Show Network.

"Sam has a stellar reputation for building, developing and directing highly successful sales teams for major cable networks — both established and start-up," Christopher Ruddy, CEO of Newsmax Media, Inc., said.

"He's a consummate sales professional and has amassed an impressive track record of increasing billings significantly from existing advertisers as well as new business development," Ruddy said.

Moser brings a significant depth of expertise in sales strategy, revenue growth, large-scale presentations, negotiation, client relations, staff development, training, and mentoring.

"Newsmax has quickly become the most talked about cable news network in the United States," Moser said. "I'm excited to be part of the cream of the crop Chris is assembling and help further accelerate the growth of this exciting, must-watch news outlet."

Newsmax TV has signed cable agreements with all major MVPD outlets, including DirecTV, Dish, Xfinity, Spectrum, Fios, U-verse, Altice (Optimum and Suddenlink), and Cox, among many others. The network expects to reach close 80 million MVPD homes in 2020.

The network offers a 24/7 program schedule targeting Baby Boomers, offering "real news for real people" with a "heartland" perspective. The channel also airs shows with Michelle Malkin, Alan Dershowitz, Nancy Brinker, Mike Huckabee, and others.

Moser most recently served as Senior Vice President of National Ad Sales for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, where he spearheaded sales for the Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, and Detroit offices, which covered agencies and clients across the entire United States.

Prior to Fox News Channel, Moser ran the Game Show Network's West and Southwest regions for sales and overall sales strategy and during his four years there, the network experienced double-digit revenue and advertiser growth. He was heavily involved in the launch and growth of several channels, including the Comedy Channel, VH1, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, and TV Land.

Moser is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelor's degree in general studies and marketing. He and his wife, Cindy, have been married since 1981, have two adult daughters, and live in New York City. He has held several nonprofit board positions and serves as a volunteer for American Corporate Partners, mentoring military vets, and working with inner-city charitable organizations.
