What happens to all those presidential campaign T-shirts after the campaign is over? For 2012 nominees Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, the solution involved donating them to children in Kenya.
The pair’s campaign office in Knox County, Tenn., has donated 200 Romney/Ryan shirts imprinted with the slogan “Believe in America”
to kids in a village in Africa, Fox News reports.

The shirts were donated to the Orbit Village Project in Kenya, a nonprofit organization that sponsors a
school for 500 students, a clinic, an orphanage, and a Baptist church, according to The Daily Caller.
The T-shirt donation program is administered by Alexander Waters, a former Romney/Ryan campaign director in Tennessee who is related to someone who runs the Orbit Village Project, according to The Daily Caller.
“I mentioned to her that we had a lot of shirts and that we were wondering if they had a need for them and she said, ‘Yes, that would be great,’ Waters told the newspaper.
“So instead of putting them into a storage unit or something we were like, ‘We can generate some good out of these shirts. I’ve been over there and a shirt can go a long way.”
The T-shirts are also available on Amazon starting at $12.95. A slightly different version without the “Believe in America” slogan are listed on Ebay for $13.95.
