GOP Responds to Supreme Court Setback By Boosting Romney’s War Chest

Outraged conservatives are pouring their frustrations into dollars for Mitt Romney as the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign crossed the $2 million mark since the announcement by the Supreme Court upholding Obamacare.

Romney’s campaign press secretary Andrea Saul said on Twitter that the campaign had amassed $2 million from 20,000 donors since the ruling came down. "Just crossed $2 million in donations & 20,000+ donars for #fullRepeal of Obamacare. #Mitt2012" the Tweet said.

The money flurry was aided by Romney’s website, which said: "Obamacare Upheld: Elections have consequences" over a photo of Romney. Underneath the image was a large "DONATE" button.

Donations to the Romney Victory Fund are divided between Romney's campaign, the Republican National Committee, and several state Republican parties.

”Regardless of what the Court said about the constitutionality of the law, Obamacare is bad medicine, it is bad policy, and when Mitt Romney is president, the bad news of Obamacare will be over. This November it’s all on the line. The stakes couldn’t be higher,” the campaign website’s donation page reads.
