As Mitt Romney puts together his team for a potential second run for the Republican presidential nomination, he’s brought on board a trusted aide from his 2008 White House bid. Lanhee Chen, who served as Romney’s chief domestic policy adviser during his last run for president, will join Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC, and serve as its policy director, the political action committee announced Monday, according to CNN.

Chen worked on President George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign, serving as a health policy advisor. He also worked in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the Bush Administration.

Romney’s PAC also announced that it’s donating $25,000 to the New Jersey Republican Party, bringing the PAC’s total donations to GOP candidates and party groups for the year to $300,000.

"It is important to help candidates who are fighting for conservative principles, whether in Washington or in the states," Romney said.
