Rami Malek stars as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the new teaser trailer for the biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which chronicles Queen’s heyday in the 1970s through 1985’s Live Aid concert.

The trailer, released Tuesday, contains scenes of concerts, the band in the studio, and their personal lives, including partying and fighting with each other as Mercury spiraled out of control.

The trailer also shows Malek as Mercury recording the six-minute “Bohemian Rhapsody” operatic section, which some bandmates didn’t agree should be included. When the band is told the song is too long, Mercury shoots back, “I pity your wife if you think six minutes is forever.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Queen guitarist Brian May, who has seen the whole film, says Mercury would have approved of the portrayal, and Malek said May told him the movie brought him (May) to tears.

“He gives everyone watching permission to embrace their imperfections and sing as loudly as they can,” Malek said, THR reported. “That is what he did for me.”

Mercury died of complications from AIDS in 1991.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” will be released in theaters Nov. 2. Other stars in the film include Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, and Mike Myers. Dexter Fletcher replaced Bryan Singer as director of the film in December.

Twitter was very excited about the trailer.
