A Quinnipiac University Poll released today reveals that Connecticut voters support legalizing medical marijuana and being able to buy liquor on Sundays.

The poll reveals that 68 percent of voters support a recent proposal to allow adults to use marijuana for medical purposes with a physician’s prescription.

Likewise, 54 percent of voters polled are in favor of liquor stores selling alcoholic beverages on Sunday.

“Connecticut may be the land of steady habits but no Sunday liquor sales is one habit voters are ready to kick,” said Quinnipiac University Poll Director Douglas Schwartz, PhD.

Interestingly, 60 percent of men support Sunday sales while women are divided at 48 percent in favor, 48 percent opposed.

The poll surveyed 1,622 registered voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.
