Paul McCartney crossing Abbey Road freaked out Beatle fans who were ecstatic to see a historical moment recreated nearly 49 years after the band made the famous walk, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Sir Paul even did another take in the other direction for an Instagram video by his daughter Mary.

McCartney was in town to visit Abbey Road Studios, where The Beatles recorded many of their albums, when he decided to entertain the crowd that had gathered by strolling across the famous crossing Monday, just like the band did for the cover of their 1969 “Abbey Road” album.

Abbey Road Studios took advantage of the video occasion to tease fans with a cliffhanger.

“Discover what he's been up to very soon,” the studio said in tweet.

As it turns out, McCartney was in town to perform a special secret show at the studio in which he premiered four new songs from his upcoming album “Egypt Station,” due out in September, Billboard reported.

A McCartney spokesman confirmed that the show was recorded for Spotify and would be broadcast at a later date.

The rock legend made headlines recently when he introduced another new song addressing the Trump presidency.

"Sometimes the situation in the world is so crazy, that you've got to address it," Paul McCartney told students at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, where he performed the song.

He did not reveal whether the song was in favor of Trump or against him — but it's likely to be the latter based on past expressed opinions.
