By    |   Tuesday, 20 August 2013 09:44 AM EDT

A video of Pam Oliver, FOX's NFL sideline reporter, getting hit in the face with a football has reached viral proportions online, with GIFs and clips popping up all over Twitter just minutes after the Sunday night accident.

It happened as Oliver was preparing on the sidelines for the weekend's preseason game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Giants. Colts backup quarterback Chandler Harnish was warming up with quarterback Andrew Luck, throwing passes back and forth, when one got away from him and struck Oliver right in the face.

Oliver didn’t miss a beat, though, and laughed off what was sure to have been a painful hit.

"And thanks to you guys for hitting me in the face with a football," Oliver jokingly said to Luck.

"Oh yeah, we apologize on that," Luck said. "We are so sorry."

Harnish later apologized for the incident on Twitter.

Twitter users praised Oliver for brushing off the hit and going ahead with the broadcast.
