Palin Wades Into Arizona Races

By    |   Friday, 03 August 2012 09:04 AM EDT

Sarah Palin is bringing her endorsement power to the desert, lending a hand to two Arizona Republican primaries, according to 3TV News of Arizona.

The former governor and vice presidential candidate announced her endorsement of Arizona’s former House Speaker Kirk Adams in the 5th Congressional District, according to 3TV News. Adams, 35, became one of the youngest speakers in Arizona history.

Palin also was featured on recorded messages urging voters to back Rep. Jeff Flake for U.S. Senate.

Flake’s GOP primary opponent, wealthy self-funder Wil Cardon, has shelled out millions of dollars accusing Flake cozying up with President Barack Obama, 3TV News reported.

Palin, 3TV News reported, said in her endorsement of Kirk, "Kirk has been a steadfast supporter of sound immigration laws and was a leading defender of Arizona citizens as he used his platform to accurately describe this state's predicament to the rest of America. He was the one who helped us all understand how dangerously misguided President Obama is on state's rights and the rule of law!"

She recently campaigned for Ted Cruz, whose overwhelming upset win in the Texas U.S. Senate primary runoff Tuesday was, according to Palin, “a victory for tea party conservatives who just want to get our country back on the right track and defend our republic.”
