Oreo is running a contest to guess its new mystery flavor, and those who guess correctly will have a chance to win $50,000.

The mystery cookies have the traditional dark chocolate cookies, but the filling in the middle, although it looks like the same creamy white as regular Oreos, has a mystery taste that could make one lucky guesser a whole lot richer. The cookies come in a white package rather than the usual blue.

There will be five runners-up chosen who will each get $10,000, as well as the grand prize winner.

People can submit guesses to Oreo’s website, www.OREOmystery.com, once per day until the end of November.

Bonus entries can be earned by uploading a purchase receipt for the mystery flavor cookies, or by uploading a picture of yourself with the cookies, Time reported.

Early reports are that the mystery filling tastes like some kind of fruity cereal, like Fruity Pebbles or Fruit Loops, or like milk from cereal, according to Grub Street.

Nabisco has trotted out all kinds of gimmicky Oreo flavors in recent years, from Swedish fish flavor to cotton candy and birthday cake. A few months ago Oreo even featured fan favorites made in very small batches, including an avocado flavor.

Grub Street did note that Fruity Crisp Oreos were released last summer, and hoped the company wasn’t just repackaging unsold product this time around.

Twitter followers were quick to poke fun at the popular cookie brand’s idea of a good time and take credit for the idea.
