'Y'all Stalking Me?' OJ Simpson Asks TV Crew at Nevada Gas Station

"Y'all Stalking Me?" O.J. Simpson asked a TV crew at a Nevada gas station hours after his release from federal prison on Sunday.

CBS Los Angeles noted that the former footballer reluctantly spoke publicly for the first time as a free man after being spotted by a reporter and camera crew when his driver stopped to refuel his car.

Frustrated by the media's presence, he asked whether they were stalking him, laughing in disbelief.

However, this did not deter the TV crew, who persistently asked where he was heading and how it felt to be out of prison.

"None of your business," he said, adding that he had been in the car for the last five hours and wondered how he was supposed to know what it felt like to be free.

Simpson was granted parole after serving the minimum nine years of a 33-year sentence for a September 2007 robbery of sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas.

He also stood accused for the grisly 1994 murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in Los Angeles but was acquitted the following year.

According to a Nevada parole official, Simpson has been approved to live at a home in the Las Vegas area and cannot leave the state without advance approval from his parole officer.

Responding to news of his release earlier this year, the Goldman family released a statement saying that, although they respected the Nevada Parole Board's decision to release Simpson, it was "still difficult for us knowing he will be a free man again," CBS News reported.

California attorney David Cook, who represents the Goldman family, said earlier this week he would resume efforts to collect on at least $33.5 million in a civil jury verdict awarded against Simpson following the 1994 deaths.
