President Obama cut in line at a busy barbecue restaurant for lunch in Austin, Texas, on Thursday, but volunteered to pay for the meal of the two people in line behind him.
The Houston Chronicle said Obama stopped for lunch at Franklin's,
a popular barbecue spot where it was "packed as always," after giving a speech at the historic Paramount Theater.

Owner Aaron Franklin told the Austin American-Statesman that Obama "seems like a nice dude,"
but admitted he was a bit uncomfortable with the commander in chief's line leap.
"That’s our thing, no one skips the line … except Obama,” he added.
It's not unheard of for patrons to wait hours in line at Franklin's.
Houston resident Bruce Finstead and his daughter were the patrons put out by Obama's cutting in line, but at least they benefited from his credit card.
Upon hearing their order — three pounds of beef, two pounds of ribs, a half-pound of sausage and a half-pound of turkey — the president reportedly joked, "Hold on now. How many folks are you guys feeding? Just kidding." They had other family members already seated at a table.
The tab totaled about $300, the Chronicle said.
