An NYPD rainbow-themed vehicle was unveiled ahead of Sunday's big gay pride march as police officials worked with the local LGBT community to avoid problems after the Orlando gay nightclub shooting.
The police SUV has "NYC Pride 2016" and "Pride Equality Peace" painted on it along with a message of support for the Orlando shooting victims, noted the New York Post

said Sunday's march is expected to break records with an anticipated 32,000 participants and more than 400 groups.
"This year is definitely going to be a lot more significant, a lot more important," said NYC Pride March director Julian Sanjivan. "It's painful, but at the same time, we want to show it's all about love, it's all about equality. We're not going to cave to fear."
Sanjivan told AM New York that 20,000 marchers participated in the parade last year, watched by 2.5 million spectators as they celebrated the legalization of gay marriage around the country.
While some celebrated the NYPD rainbow-themed vehicle on social media, others were skeptical.
