North West: Is That Really Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Baby Name?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their baby daughter North West, sources close to the couple confirmed to the Daily Mail a week after Kardashian had her first child in Los Angeles.

Kardashian, West, and their family members have released very little information since they had the child, and the revelation ends intense speculation over the child's name.

TMZ witnessed a signed birth certificate with the name North West signed by Kardashian, 32, and West, 36, at Cedars-Sinai hospital. People magazine confirmed the news with a source close to the Kardashian family.

A source told UsWeekly that the couple has already given their daughter a nickname: "Nori." The child has no middle name.

The name North had previously been suggested as a possibility for the child, although Kardashian dismissed the idea as a joke.

Back in March, Kim denied rumors that Kanye wanted to name the baby North.

"I do like Easton, Easton West," she joked on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in March.

Others were sure that the child's name would start with a "K" because of the "K" theme in Kardashian's family. Kardashian confirmed this was a consideration.

They reportedly considered naming the child Kaidence Donda, and the reality star reportedly liked "Kai" for short. Donda is the name of West's late mother, who died in 2007 due to complications from cosmetic surgery.

Kardashian have birth on 15 June, more than a month ahead of her due date, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- a hospital where many other celebrities have given birth, including of choice including Britney Spears, Victoria Beckham and Jessica Simpson.
Her partner, rapper Kanye West, and mother Kris Jenner were reportedly at her side. Kardashian's due date was reportedly July 12, just one day after Kate Middleton's. The date would also have been West's mother Donda West's 64th birthday, according to the Daily Mail.
