Sports evokes strong emotions in people. A winning team can unite thousands and bring about a shared sense of joy and excitement. On the opposite end of the scale, put a losing team in front of a crowd of supporters and the anger takes over.

When it comes to the NHL, fans tend to be exceptionally passionate and the Philadelphia Flyers have found a way to cash in on that.

Enter the "rage room" — an anger cave where fans get to release some steam by smashing TVs, dishes, and other items with a baseball bat, sledgehammer, or hockey stick. The best part? Some of the items bear the logos of opposing teams.

The Flyers introduced the "Disassembly Room" on Tuesday. Located in the Wells Fargo Center, the rage room lies behind an unassuming library wall inside the Flyers' "Assembly Room" and is accessible through a "secret passage" in the club, according to a news release.

Fans attending Philadelphia home games can reserve a specific time slot of five minutes to smash the breakable items that are given to them upon making a booking, according to ESPN. Guests who want to watch the fun unfold can do so from an observation deck.

"The concept is definitely one-of-a-kind and non-traditional," said Valerie Camillo, president of business operations of the Flyers and the Wells Fargo Center. "We ran the concept by some of our fans who told us they thought this would be a fresh way to have some harmless fun."

The "Disassembly Room" was scheduled to make its debut Wednesday during the Flyers' home opener against the New Jersey Devils.
