Images and the first full trailer from "The Peanuts Movie," due out next year, are sparking interest in the coming 3-D computer-animated film.

The movie will focus on the timeless quality of the Peanuts comic strips and TV specials.

"We really get to go into his mind and see what this crazy dog is imagining every day of his life," producer and writer Craig Schulz, son of "Peanuts" creator Charles Schulz, said, according to USA Today.

Schulz and director Steve Martino went up in a biplane to get a better sense of the flight for a scene in which Snoopy and his enemy the Red Baron engage in a World War I dogfight.

Producer Paul Feig told USA Today that he choked up while watching the first reel of storyboards set to Vince Guaraldi’s song “Linus and Lucy.” "You love being back in that world," he said. "And you immediately want to grab every kid you know and go, 'Oh, my God, you've got to watch this!'”

“The Peanuts Movie” is scheduled for release on Nov. 6 by 20th Century Fox.

The first official trailer was supposed to be released on Thanksgiving, but was released early by Fox Family.

Feig tweeted about the trailer on Tuesday.

Twitter users were enthusiastic.
