Neil Patrick Harris has revealed that his entire family had the coronavirus. The "How I Met Your Mother" star shared the diagnoses on the Today show.
"It happened very early, like late March, early April," the actor said of the illness, which he, husband David Burtka and 9-year-old twins Harper and Gideon, contracted. "We were doing our best before, and I thought I had the flu, and I didn't want to be paranoid about it. And then I lost my sense of taste and smell, which was a big indicator, so we holed up."
The family are "feeling great" since making a full recovery.
"It was not pleasant, but we got through it and have antibodies and are feeling good," Harris said. "We want to make sure everyone's doing their best to slow this down every way possible, for sure."
Harris joins a long list of celebrities who have had the coronavirus, including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, whose whole family also tested positive for COVID-19.
"I can tell you this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we've ever had to endure as a family, and for me personally too as well," Johnson said in an Instagram video earlier this month.
He added that the family are well and "on the other side" and "no longer contagious."
