A Texas mom was brave enough to bite a pit bull's ear off as it attacked her 2-year-old daughter, saving the girl.
Chelsi Camp was dog-sitting a friend’s pit bull in March when it suddenly
turned on her 2-year-old daughter, Mackenzie Plass, KHOU 11 News reported.

As Camp fought the dog, she still managed to instruct her daughter to turn over so she wouldn’t choke on blood, KHOU said.
Camp ended up with bite marks up and down her arms, and photos of Plass show the child with bite marks on her face, scalp, and legs.
The TV station referred to Camp’s fight with the dog as her “animal instincts” coming into play.
A month after the attack, Camp tells KHOU that her daughter is doing great and the scars are hard to see.
When asked about her reaction to the dog attack, Camp told the station, “You do whatever you can. I don't have physical strength at my side."
As she struggled with the dog, Camp called 911 and a police officer shot the animal, not killing it, when he arrived, KHOU said. The dog was eventually euthanized.
Camp’s arms were injured and it’s just recently that she has been able to hold her daughter easily, she told KHOU. Her daughter will get her stitches out this week.
"She's a strong little girl and a fighter," Camp told KHOU. "She's meant to be here."
As Camp’s story went viral Thursday, the story of a
3-year-old boy who may lose an eye after a pitbull attack was reported by CBS Detroit.
The dog was reportedly on a long lead, tied to a tree, when it attacked the child. Another child, age 8, was injured trying to get the dog off the boy.
