Maulik Pancholy: '30 Rock' Actor Comes Out As Gay, Lauds Relationship

“30 Rock” actor Maulik Pancholy has announced that he is gay and is celebrating nine years with his partner.

Pancholy is known for playing Jonathan on “30 Rock,” which ended a seven-year run on NBC in January. Right now, he’s the voice of Sanjay on Nickelodeon’s “Sanjay and Craig.”

The actor told Out magazine that he’s proud of his long relationship.

“It feels like a nice time to be celebrating something like that, especially on the heels of the DOMA and Prop 8 decisions,” he said.

On Twitter, the news that Pancholy is gay was topped for many by the fact that he’s 39 years old.
