Matt Damon broke his collarbone while trying to mountain-bike, the actor told reporters at the Los Angeles airport.

The “Bourne Identity” star, who will next appear in the “The Monuments Men” movie, had his left arm in a sling, WENN said.

As pictures of the injured star flew around the internet, Damon got almost as much coverage for the pink backpack he carried in the photos as he did for his broken bone.

"Good Morning America" said Damon proved “real men do wear pink, specifically pink glittering backpacks” and guessed that he may have borrowed the snazzy backpack from one of his four daughters.

A view from the side, featured on E! Online, showed that it was actually a “Twinkle Toes” pink backpack and the online site’s headline said it all: “Matt Damon Is Not Too Tough to Carry a Pink Backpack.”

Fans on E! posted their approval of Damon’s decision to pack in pink.

“Good for him. That's a good dad. Of course, now I'll have to call him the Bourne Ballerina,” one wrote, followed by another quip, “Hey, Jason Bourne is ALWAYS on his toes!”

Along with playing in George Clooney-directed "Monuments," Damon is working with Ben Affleck to produce a half-hour situation comedy for television, “More Time With Family,” E! said.

The CBS show will be about a stand-up comedian, played by real-life comedian Tom Papa, who pulls back on his workload to spend more time with his family.

“The Monuments of Men” is about a group of men ordered to find all the art that the Nazis stole.
