Mama June, also known as June Shannon from the TLC reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," is being sued by daughter Anna Cardwell, who claims her mother never gave her the money from the family's television appearances.
But Shannon is claiming that Cardwell was bullied into suing her by Shannon's mother and her boyfriend, and now the reality star plans on
filing her own court documents Thursday, TMZ reported.
"Anna is suing Mama June, claiming June kept all the 'Honey Boo Boo' money that should have been distributed to the family," wrote TMZ. "Both Anna and her daughter Kaitlyn are suing.
But TMZ has learned June will file legal docs Thursday, claiming her mother, Sandra Hale, is behind the lawsuit and Anna never wanted to file it nor does she believe what's being alleged."
Cardwell, who is suing along with her 2-year-old daughter Kaitlyn, charges in the lawsuit that she is owed
roughly $200,000 and her daughter $100,000, reported TMZ. Cardwell claims that Shannon kept their share of $22,500 per episode, along with cookbook royalties and other money made off promotionals.
However, TLC reportedly set up separate accounts for the family to ensure everyone got paid the correct amounts.
Cardwell's lawsuit said, according to The Associated Press, that Shannon and Honey Boo Boo LLC maintained control of the money. The AP stated that TLC has not weighed in on the lawsuit.
TLC canceled "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" last October in a cloud of controversy. TLC cut ties with the reality show that spotlighted former child pageant star Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson after reports surfaced that Shannon was
dating a convicted child molester, reported E! News.
"TLC has canceled the series 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately," the network said back in October. "Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."
Shannon has denied dating Mark McDaniel, the man behind the child molestation allegation.
"The statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue," Shannon said back in October. "I would not ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger. I love my kids too much. That is my past. I have not seen that person in 10 years and don't seem to want to see that person."
