Malachi Fronczak Lemonade Stand Raises $7K for Deputy's Family

Malachi Fronczak's lemonade stand has raised $7,000 for a fallen deputy's family in Indiana since last week.

That alone is an impressive feat but what makes this achievement so much more special is that the owner of 'Malachi's Magnificent Lemonade' is just 6 years old, CNN noted.

Malachi Fronczak has always had an affinity for police officers, firemen and first responders but when he learned that these heroes often get killed in the line of duty, he decided to use his three-year-old business to help their families.

Upon hearing about Deputy Jacob Pickett being fatally shot while chasing a suspect recently, Malachi Fronczak wanted to help the family by donating funds raised from lemonade sales.

"Anytime your kids have a big heart, want to serve others, I think it's important as a parent to support that," said the boy's father, Jason Fronczak, per Fox59 News.

Fundraising efforts began on Friday, when Malachi set up shop in Solidarity Federal Credit Union and raised more than $5,000 in just four hours, Officer.com noted.

Next up was Kokomo-Howard County Public Library, where Malachi raised thousands more by serving up his delicious lemonade to the community.

Then on Sunday, the family attended Pickett's memorial at which Malachi delivered a hand-written note and cup of lemonade.

"He wants to be a police officer when he grows up," Jason Fronczak told CNN about his son, who sells lemonade as a way of helping others. "Just seeing his heart, and how it affects others, is amazing. He has taught me to look for opportunities around us to help others and show love."

While the country is in the grip of a cold front, Malachi Fronczak is determined to continue with his pursuits this weekend and plans to set up his stand outside a local library.
