“Madam President” Newsweek copies have become collectors’ items online, but the special edition might not be what it seems.

Before Election Day, 125,000 copies of the Newsweek edition that commemorated Hillary Clinton’s election as president were published, featuring a picture of the former Democratic presidential candidate and a headline that read “Madam President,” according to NBC News.

However, the rare copies were recalled after President-elect Donald Trump won the White House, and now a “Madam President” copy could be yours for just 99 cents, NBC News noted.

But there aren’t thousands of copies lying around anymore, which is why the Newsweek edition has become a collectors’ item for some since the election.

NBC News found nearly 390 offers for the recalled magazine on eBay late Wednesday, and though some are snagging the copy for 99 cents, the copies that were originally going for $10.99 are selling for as much as $9,995.

That’s not all. There’s another issue circulating pertaining to this commemorative edition.

According to NBC News, there were only 17 issues sold prior to the recall, which brought cause to pause regarding the authenticity of those copies.

In fact, it was actually Topix Media Lab — a New York publisher that produces special editions for many media companies, including Newsweek — that prematurely published the issue that featured Clinton.

Newsweek made this clear in a tweet on Nov. 7.

Topix Media Lab said they decided to release the issues for Newsweek early because at the time Clinton was “almost universally favored to win the election,” The Washington Free Beacon noted.

“If Trump wins, the Clinton copies will be trashed and the Trump version will be rushed to the printing presses — a simple business calculation,” the media company said, according to The Beacon.
