The latest milkshake to hit the fast food scene is Burger King’s Lucky Charms milkshake, available at select locations for the next few months.
The new shake flavor launched Monday and features soft-serve vanilla ice cream and bits of the iconic cereal, including those signature marshmallows, Fortune reported.
“The mashup of our velvety vanilla-flavored soft serve and one of America’s classic breakfast cereals is something we think our guests are going to love,” said Burger King North America president Alex Macedo, Fortune reported.
Burger King had previously featured a Froot Loops shake, but this is the first time it has partnered with General Mills to feature a cereal in its shake lineup, Fortune reported.
According to Foodbeast, Lucky Charms fans will love the shake, and even non-fans might like the taste sensation, although it comes with a hefty sugar and calorie count — 85 grams in the smallest size plain vanilla shake, which must be similar or even higher in the sugary cereal version.
The shakes are set to retail at $2.99, although prices will vary by location, Foodbeast reported.
Opinions about the shake varied greatly on Twitter.
