Lil Wayne’s luxurious Miami Beach mansion is on the market for a cool $16 million, and it’s probably worth that, at least, for the rooftop skate park alone.
There aren’t many homes that can boast a bowl and half-pipe. Those who aren’t skateboarders will no doubt appreciate other aspects of the home, including its nine bedrooms, 10 baths, and
15,101 square feet of space, the Miami New Times said. Sky terraces, a three-bedroom guest house, and a glass elevator add to the luxury of the ultra-modern home.
Not to mention, a Miami home needs ocean access, and Lil Wayne’s mansion boasts 120 feet of water frontage.
The house was all over the media in recent weeks when police were called to a supposed shooting there. On March 11, someone called the Miami Beach Police Department to say four people had been shot at Lil Wayne’s home, but police referred to it as a case of “swatting.”
“Swatting” is defined by the Urban Dictionary as “A goal achieved by hacking where the hacker tricks 911 systems into deploying SWAT to an unsuspecting victim's home under false pretenses.”
Lil Wayne's Young Money record label tweeted, “Wayne is okay. Wasn’t home during alleged events.”
TMZ reported that sources close to the rapper said he’s moving because of just such incidents.
“According to our sources, Weezy feels his privacy has been utterly compromised because he feels like everyone in America knows where he lives,” TMZ wrote. The house is actually identified by Google as Lil Wayne’s house.
“We're told Wayne feels like his mansion has become a sort of mecca for obsessed fans, and he wants out,” TMZ added.
Lil Wayne bought the house in 2011 for $11.6 million, so he stands a chance of making a $6 million profit, the New Times reported.
