Lil’ Kim is part of an LAPD robbery investigation launched after a woman was allegedly robbed following a dispute about a rental property for a BET party.

The rapper rented a house for a BET weekend party but was reportedly unhappy with the place, noted TMZ.

Quoting police sources, the gossip website said Lil’ Kim and her crew had visited the property but were not happy with it and demanded their money be refunded.

According to reports, an argument ensued.

Police were called to the scene and left after determining that the dispute was a civil matter, TMZ noted.

At 4am, an armed group wearing ski masks reportedly stormed the house, fleeing with the rapper’s deposit check and cash, believed to total at least $20,000, according to TMZ. The victim’s car tires were reportedly slashed and a hub cap stolen.

This is not the first time that Lil’ Kim has met with police scrutiny.

She was convicted on three counts of perjury and one count of conspiracy in March 2005 in connection with the trial of a 2001 shooting incident outside New York's Hot 97 radio station, reported MTV.

The rapper allegedly lied to investigators about her involvement in the shooting, which left one man, Efrain Ocasio, shot in the back.

Sunday's incident has sparked mixed reaction on social media.
