A levitating magician fooled people in London this week when he performed a stunt that had him hovering next to a double-decker bus, but now, thanks to a crowdsourcing news site, the trick has been unveiled as an illusion.
The stunt was part of a Pepsi Max commercial, and magician Steven Frayne (who goes by his stage name Dynamo) had Londoners stunned and staring as he appeared to levitate next to a bus as it drove down the street.
"It was one of those crazy things. I threw out the idea to Pepsi and they loved it and then a
couple of days later we were doing it," Dynamo told the Daily Mail. "The people on the ground were going crazy. And all the people on the bus as well. All I could see was a row of camera phones pointed me."

But critics were quick to uncover how Dynamo performed the levitating stunt.
A report on News.com.au claims that Dynamo is fastened to a prosthetic arm that is supporting his weight.
"The arm is in fact a metal pole that has been fastened to the bus and is supporting Dynamo's weight while he holds on. Dynamo's real arm is in tucked inside his chest," read a report on the Australian news site Wednesday, along with the photo allegedly showing a fake arm that was used in the Pepsi Max ad.
The site also notes that Johan Lorbeer, a German street performer, has been using prosthetics to "hang off walls in all sorts of impossible locations, including the sides of street buildings and shop facades since 2002."
