Lady Gaga has clinched a residency in Las Vegas, with 74 shows set to kick off at MGM Park Theater next year.

Rolling Stone magazine reported that the deal was worth $100 million and could see Lady Gaga earning over $1 million per show with the chance of an extended run.

Lady Gaga confirmed the news on social media, posting that it's been her "lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl," adding that she was "so overjoyed" about the upcoming residency.

"I was made for this town, and I can't wait to light up the Park Theater like never before!" she posted on Instagram.

Lady Gaga is the latest of a string of high profile stars to take on a residency slot in Las Vegas, with Elton John, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Backstreet Boys having previously enjoyed successful runs over the years, The Guardian said.

Lady Gaga said she was "humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before," UPI reported.

"You can count on this performer always for one thing... I'll leave my heart on the stage every single night," she added.

This year has seen Lady Gaga embark upon a rigorous touring schedule but, according to CNN, she announced the decision to postpone the European leg of her "Joanne World Tour" in September due to severe physical pain.

"Lady Gaga is suffering from severe physical pain that has impacted her ability to perform," a statement by her promoter, Live Nation read.
