Socialite Kim Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles Saturday with rapper boyfriend Kanye West by her side.
Though Kardashian, 32, was not due for another five weeks, sources say both mom and baby are healthy and resting at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The couple had initially kept the baby's gender a secret, but the sex was revealed earlier this month during one of Kardashian's doctor appointments on her family's reality show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians."
Kardashian reportedly started having
contractions Friday night and had a natural childbirth Saturday morning, according to TMZ.

Though the Kardashians are notorious media sweethearts, the baby name has not yet been revealed (it's rumored to start with a "K") and Kim has remained uncharacteristically silent on her Twitter page. Sister Khloé Kardashian Odom did, however, send some cryptic messages the day after the birth.
Twitter users had a range of reactions to the news of Kardashian and West's new baby girl.
The birth coincided with Father's Day and the release of West's new album, "Yeezus," which drops Tuesday.
The rapper, 36, has been under fire the last few weeks for the title of his album, a combination of his nickname "Yeezy" and "Jesus." Twitter users
criticized West for his purported "God complex."
