An alleged killer told Colorado authorities that a teen took out a Craigslist ad asking for someone to "put a hit" her, and so he did, according to a law enforcement affidavit.

Authorities arrested Joseph Michael Lopez, 22, on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of Natalie Bollinger, 19, of Broomfield, and booked him in the Adams County Jail, KMGH-TV reported.

Bollinger's body was discovered in an unincorporated area of Adams County on Dec. 29 with a single gunshot wound to the head, KMGH-TV said. She had been reported missing 26 hours earlier, the television station noted.

An autopsy revealed that even though Bollinger died from the gunshot wound, she also had a "potentially lethal level of heroin" in her system at the time of her death, KMGH-TV said.

"We had to go through all of her social media and phone data, and it was there that we found a lot of the people that we interviewed and ultimately brought us to Joseph," Adams County Sheriff Michael McIntosh said in a news conference on Friday, the Denver Post reported.

"At this point, to my knowledge, we don't have any more persons of interest in this case. We believe that from what we currently see, that we have the lone suspect in this case …," McIntosh said.

According to the affidavit, Lopez reportedly told police he found an ad in Craigslist's "Woman Seeks Men" category with the headline: "I want to put a hit on myself," per KMGH-TV, and Lopez said after a lengthy text conversation, he agreed to meet and kill her, per the affidavit.

Lopez reportedly told authorities he picked Bollinger up from her apartment on Dec. 28, where she instructed him how he would get paid and instructed him to shoot her execution-style while on her knees.

The affidavit said Lopez originally claimed that Bollinger shot herself after he tried to talk her out of it, but later admitted that he did pull the trigger after he was confronted with GPS and cell phone data placing him at the scene.
