Kendall and Kylie Jenner have filed to trademark their first names, as well as “Kendall & Kylie,” in an effort to protect the use of their names as a brand.

The move has spawned a lot of online jokes about what this will mean for other Kylies and Kendalls, should the trademark be granted.

“Warning to Kylie Minogue or anyone else named Kylie … You may no longer be allowed to use your first name because a 17-year-old thinks it should be hers and hers alone,” TMZ, which broke the story, wrote.

“This is a big move for the influential sisters, that should help teens and young adults dream of a day when they too, can call themselves an LLC,” reported ET Online. “Unless your name is Kylie or Kendall. In which case you should run. Run right now.”

The Jenner sisters filed the applications to trademark their first names to “entertainment in the nature of providing information by means of a global computer network in the fields of entertainment, fashion and pop culture," TMZ quoted the paperwork.

ET said Kylie Jenner also filed to trademark her full name that’s to be used on a line of handbags.

Online, the news that the Jenners were trying to trademark their names drew numerous comments, many from fans of Kylie Minogue:
