Kate Spade was found dead from apparent suicide this week, and social media has since been flooded with outpourings from friends and celebrities reacting to the tragic news.

Among them was her brother-in-law, David Spade, who posted a photo of himself and Kate Spade together on Instagram and wrote a caption describing her as "sharp and quick on her feet."

He recalled how the iconic designer could make him laugh.

"I still cant believe it. Its a rough world out there people, try to hang on," he added.

Repots emerged Tuesday morning that Kate Spade was found dead in her New York City apartment at age 55.

The Daily Mail reported that the designer reportedly left a heart wrenching note behind for her 13-year-old daughter which read "Bea - I have always loved you. This is not your fault. Ask Daddy!"

The news outlet further noted that Kate and husband Andy Spade had separated after 24 years of marriage.

The designer broke into the fashion world in the early 1990s when she founded designer label Kate Spade New York with Andy Spade, People reported.

The couple later sold the company and Kate Spade created an accessory brand in 2016 named Frances Valentine, for her daughter.

The fashion world was left reeling in wake of her death.

Ivanka Trump tweeted her condolences and urged those who might be "struggling with depression and contemplating suicide, please, please seek help."

Actress Lena Dunham described Kate Spade as a "quirky visual language that captivated Bat Mitzvah girls and artists alike," in a tribute posted to Twitter.

"She was also a staple of NYC who spread good will. My heart breaks for her family. Thank you, Kate, from one of the millions you made feel beautiful," she added.

Reese Witherspoon, Chelsea Clinton, Mindy Kaling and Lucy Hale were among other A-listers who took to social media to honor the designer.
