Jon Gosselin's daughters in a tell-all People magazine interview disputed their father's claims that he is being kept away from them by Kate Gosselin, and now he's upset, said "Entertainment Tonight."

In the People story, posted online on Wednesday, Mady Gosselin, 15, blasted her father, charging that "he doesn't even know us. How can he dare to talk about us?"

"He makes it seem like we're being kept from him, which is insane," Mady Gosselin told People. "He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don't want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen."

Mady Gosselin's twin sister, Cara, added: "I wouldn't even know what to say about him."

Their mother Kate Gosselin, 41, told People, that one of her sons, Collin, 12, part of a set of sextuplets she had with Jon Gosselin, has been admitted to "a program away from home" to cope with his "special needs."

"(There's) a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things," Kate Gosselin told People. "This has been a struggle we've had for a very long time, and it's one I've dealt with on my own.

"I've felt very alone in this. By the same token, it's not something that has only impacted me or him – our entire family has been impacted."

Jon Gosselin, 39, told "Entertainment Tonight" he was "very upset" about the People comments. He said he has not seen Collin in two years and blamed that separation on his ex-wife.

"Everybody used to come to my house," he said. "It was great, and then Madelyn and Cara just stopped coming, around 12-13 (years old). I didn't question it. I was just like, 'Hey, do what you want. Be with your friends,' and then it just became, 'They're not coming.'"

The Gosselin family was part of one of the most successful reality shows nearly 10 years ago when "Jon & Kate Plus 8" hit the airways on TLC in 2007. Television cameras followed the couple through their challenges in raising eight children. The show reached the height of its popularity in 2009 when it was drawing a record 9.8 million viewers.

The couple announced their separation in 2009 and divorced a year later. The show also ended in 2009.
