Actress Jennifer Garner slammed People magazine after it published an issue Friday with Garner smiling on the cover accompanied by the headline: "Life After Heartbreak."
Garner, 45, has fired back at People magazine for featuring her in the issue without her authorization, according to The Wrap.
The actress took to Facebook on Wednesday to inform the public that she "did not pose for this cover" or "authorize this article," E! News noted.
"It has been brought to my attention that there is a People magazine cover and article out today that appear to be coming from me," Garner wrote. "It isn’t unusual for me to receive calls from loved ones thinking I forgot to tell them I am pregnant – with twins! – (Geez, Louise), but those are so ridiculous they’re easy to ignore."
She went on to say that her breakup with ex-husband and actor Ben Affleck was not a "tragedy" in any way.
"This isn’t a tragedy by any measure, but it does affect me and my family and so, before my mom’s garden club lights up her phone, I wanted to set the record straight," Garner wrote.
This comes after Garner filed for divorce in April after the famous couple had been married for a decade. The two later requested joint legal and physical custody of their three children: Violet, 11; Seraphina, 8; and Samuel, 5.
Garner and Affleck reportedly broke up over "irreconcilable differences," The Wrap noted.
The couple issued a joint statement in 2015, publicly announcing the divorce.
"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time," the statement said, at the time. "This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."
"It’s been a hard few months but you would never know," a source recently told E! News. "Jen always has her head up high and a smile on her face. She does a great job of keeping it together for the kids."
