Jeffrey Dahmer Taunted Others in Prison, His Killer Explains

Jeffrey Dahmer's killer told the New York Post he murdered the cannibalistic serial killer in prison 20 years ago because Dahmer was unrepentant and taunted other inmates and staff.

Christopher Scarver, who arrived at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin at about the same time as Dahmer, told the Post he was repulsed by Dahmer and kept a newspaper article about his crimes with him.

Dahmer had been sentenced to 15 life terms in prison in 1992 after he was accused of murdering up to 17 men and boys in the Milwaukee area from 1978 to 1991, according to Crime Museum.org. He was charged with raping, dismembering and even eating some of his victims, noted the website.

Scarver told the Post that over the next two years, Dahmer alienated himself from much of the prison population and guards by cutting his food to resemble body parts and using ketchup as blood.

"He would put them in places where people would be," Scarver, 45, told the Post. "He crossed the line with some people — prisoners, prison staff. Some people who are in prison are repentant — but he was not one of them."

Scarver said prison personnel knew of his intense hatred for Dahmer and believed it was no accident when guards left him alone with the serial killer and another inmate on Nov. 28, 1994.

He was left to clean bathrooms in a gymnasium bathroom with Dahmer and another inmate Jesse Anderson unchained and unattended, said Scarver. Scarver, then 25, was filling a bucket with water and either Dahmer or Anderson poked him in the back while was not looking.

"I turned around, and (Dahmer) and Jesse were kind of laughing under their breath," Scarver told the Post. "I looked right into their eyes, and I couldn't tell which had done it."

Scarver said he grabbed a metal bar from a weight room to attack Dahmer, hitting him head with the weapon and did the same with Anderson.

Scarver was sentenced to two life sentences for killing Dahmer and Anderson, reported the Huffington Post.
