Jeff Foxworthy paid it forward Saturday when he decided to pay for one mom’s groceries as she checked out ahead of him in line.
Robin McFadden was “couponing” with her three sons in tow at Publix in Johns Creek, Georgia, after attending a basketball game in which one played, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
“I was at the register and between me worrying about my items and the kids fussing, I didn’t even know that Jeff Foxworthy was standing behind me,” McFadden told Fox 5.
McFadden said she heard a voice say, “How much is she short?” and turned around to see Foxworthy there. He then put his card into the machine and paid for her order of about $25.
She hugged him and thanked him, then took a photo that she later posted on Facebook with the caption, “I love Jeff Foxworthy!”
“He was such a great guy and I was so happy and lucky to have met him,” McFadden told Fox 5.
She said she had donated some food recently to a friend in need and that meeting up with Foxworthy was “good karma.”
Foxworthy has toured as a comedian for many years and also hosts game shows “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” and “American Bible Challenge.” He has taught a men’s Bible study for the homeless at the Atlanta Mission for eight years and has been blessed by the experience of helping others, according to the Christian Examiner.
Foxworthy also supports the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Foundation, and Tug McGraw Foundation, among other charities, according to Look to the Stars.
