YouTube star and former Disney actor Jake Paul has clapped back at comedian Pete Davidson for hurling a series of insults his way in a broadcast of his boxing match against Ben Askren.
Davidson dissed Paul, who appeared in the Disney Channel TV show "Bizaardvark," while serving as a commentator on the Triller Fight Club pay-per-view over the weekend, calling him a "piece of s***" and questioning why he was not in jail following a brush with the law. Responding to the comments on the "Impaulsive" podcast this week, Paul said Davidson would not be invited back.
“F**k that guy," Paul said. "He won’t ever be a part of those ever again. He f*cked this sh*t up, bro."
Paul added that he was sick of the drama Davidson stirred up because it "brings him more clout."
"The s*** he said is like s*** you can’t take back," Paul said.
Among his comments, Davidson said that the boxing match showed "how low" boxing has "truly sunk," adding that it was proof that, "if you have enough followers you can truly f***ing do whatever your want."
He also brought up an incident last year in which multiple firearms were seized during a raid of Paul's Los Angeles mansion,
"He's clearly not a good influence on any of the youth culture. He kinda has this whole following so he thinks he can do whatever he wants," Davidson said during a conversation with Askren. "Didn't he get busted by the feds with AKs and a bunch of machine guns? Why isn't he in jail?"
Asken replied that Paul was a "s***bag as a human being," to which Davidson agreed.
"Exactly and that's the message we are trying to get through to the kids, is that he is a piece of s**t."
Sources previously said that the FBI raid of Paul's home was linked to a riot that took place at Arizona's Scottsdale Fashion Square in June. Paul was involved in the incident and was charged with criminal trespass and unlawful assembly, Scottsdale Police Department said at the time.
He was present after the protest was declared an unlawful assembly and the rioters were urged to leave the area by police, according to police. Paul entered the mall when it was closed and remained there. He claimed to have been looking for people protesting George Floyd's death.
Arizona officials later dropped all charges against Paul.
