Donald Trump received a thumbs up for his presidential bid from daughter Ivanka Trump during CNBC's "Closing Bell," and the man himself is expected to make an announcement about a possible run on Tuesday.
Ivanka Trump, executive vice president of development and acquisition at The Trump Organization, told CNBC
that she would be completely behind her father if he decided to run.
"I would support him and encourage him wholeheartedly," said Ivanka Trump. "I have the unique perspective of being by his side every day and understanding how incredibly capable and just whatt an amazing visionary he is. As a citizen, it would be amazing if he makes that decision."
While saying she would support her father, Ivanka Trump seemed less sure if she would be involved in his campaign.
"Let's wait to see what he decides," she said when asked about a possible role in the campaign. "Of course, as his daughter, I would be his strongest advocate."
Trump formed an exploratory committee in March to seek the Republican nomination and hired staff members with roots in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, noted Politico.
in Boston reported Monday that Trump was expected to announce his candidacy for the Republican nomination on Tuesday. The station said he would then travel to Iowa and New Hampshire to kick off his campaign.
"I've made a lot of money beating China and other countries," Trump said in Raleigh, North Carolina last week in addressing his political experience, reported the News & Observer
. "I only have experience beating other countries. Is that good experience? … I will make this country so rich – if I run on the 16th – just you watch."
