Hugh Hefner "conspired" to put a woman in harm's way the night she was allegedly drugged by Bill Cosby at a 2008 Playboy Mansion party, an ongoing lawsuit claims, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
In new documents added to a Los Angeles County Superior Court civil complaint on Monday,
according to the Daily Mail, Chloe Goins, 25, a dancer, said she was just 18 when she attended a party at the Playboy Mansion when the incident with Cosby occurred. After Cosby allegedly spiked her drink, it was Hefner who told her to lay down when she felt unwell, the lawsuit claims.
"Goins claims Cosby spiked her drink and then when she was out of it sucked her toes. She also says when she came to her breasts were wet and sticky,"
wrote TMZ. "According to the lawsuit, Hefner had a habit of inviting 'young and impressionable and possibly minor children to his residence and providing alcoholic beverages.'"
"She also says Hefner knew or should have known that Cosby had a 'history of severe and serial sexual battery and/or possibly rape of women' and that exposed his guests to harm," TMZ continued.
Specifically, the claim accuses Hefner and Cosby of conspiracy to commit sexual battery and negligent infliction of emotional distress, according to the Daily Mail.
Goins' attorney, Spencer Kuvin, told the Daily Mail Online that Hefner, 90, was responsible for allegedly exposing his client to Cosby, 78.
"We believe that Mr. Hefner not only knew but at the very least should have known what Mr. Cosby has been doing to these women over the last 30 plus years," Kuvin said. "Thus far no one has been held to account for tacitly standing by knowing what this man was doing."
Los Angeles County prosecutors decided in January not to bring criminal charges against Cosby in Goins' case,
The Los Angeles Times reported.
Goins initially told investigators that she was attacked at the Midsummer Night's Dream Party held at the Playboy mansion in the summer of 2008, but later backtracked on what party she attended.
Videos taken at the party failed to identify Goins and the woman she said she attended the party with, noted the newspaper. Prosecutors told the Los Angeles Times that Cosby was actually in New York that weekend and that investigators did not see his name as a guest at 56 documented events at the Playboy mansion that summer.
