United Press International identified the deceased driver of the Scion as Donnie Hopwood III.
Driving south, the Mazda truck tried to make a right turn into a driveway when it was hit by the Scion car that had been behind it, Hilltown Township Police Department said. The collision caused the car to veer across the center lane and into the northbound lane where it struck the trash truck, police said.
The Scion was then pushed in the opposite direction, ending up just north of the Schoolhouse Road intersection, police said.
Rescue workers pulled Hopwood out of the car and began resuscitation, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the other two trucks suffered only minor injuries, police said.
The investigation into the fiery accident is continuing.
