Hillary Clinton appeared Thursday on "Between Two Ferns," the Funny or Die series with actor Zach Galifianakis, and the Democratic presidential candidate tried to show her humorous side while enduring political digs.

The mock satirical public affairs show labeled Clinton onscreen not as a presidential nominee but as "had pneumonia."

Most of the interview was all in fun, with Galifianakis, star of the "The Hangover" movie franchise, asking: "As secretary, how many words per minute could you type? And how does President Obama like his coffee? Like himself — weak?"

In relation to potentially being the first female president, the actor later asked, "What happens if you become pregnant? Are we gonna be stuck with Tim Kaine for nine months? How does this work?"

Clinton responded: "I could send you some pamphlets that might help you understand."

Galifianakis ended the interview with probably the best one-liner of the episode, referring to Clinton's persistent controversy of using a private server for her emails while serving as secretary of state.

"Well this has been a lot of fun Mrs. Clinton. We should stay in touch. What's the best way to reach you? Email?" Galifianakis deadpanned as the show closed.

Such appearances on websites like Funny Or Die are popular stops for candidates trying to reach young people and audiences who are not watching traditional media outlets. The "Between Two Ferns" episode in which President Barack Obama pushed the Affordable Care Act in 2014 went viral with more than 15 million views.

"Not coincidentally, one of the bigger reasons for her slumping poll numbers is her anemic performance with young voters," wrote Deadline Hollywood. "When it comes to comedic timing, she is no Barack Obama. But the Funny or Die video plays to her strength and mostly she suffers Galifianakis’ buffoonery in silence, delivering the occasional zinger."

The Guardian's Nigel Smith said Clinton should have loosened up more: "Clinton is drolly tight-lipped for most of it, staring down Galifianakis as his questions grow increasingly offensive — but she does manage to get in a pointed dig at her Republican rival Donald Trump."

Many on social media appeared to enjoy the awkward exchange.
